Get out and explore one of the great resources in Phoenix. The Phoenix Zoo, one of the top five rated zoos for kids in the United States. Starting Nov 26th Zoo Lights opens up a holiday tradition for many residents. Only this year there are some special guests for Christmas Ivan and Gaia are now zoo regulars in the Land of Dragons. Seriously. Who the hell doesn’t like dragons? These reptiles debuted last week, but the initial crowds have died down now. Who is up for a Gangplank day at the zoo followed by some Zoo Lights? Anyone?

This will be my third Christmas in Phoenix, and I still haven’t seen Zoo Lights. Seeing the lights at a little village back home was always my favorite part of Christmas. Count me in! Dragons are cool too. : )
I’ve wanted to check out our zoo here in Phx but sans kids… lol… I know they’re there – it’s inevitable but meh
