ASU graduated about 1,000 teachers this week. What do they need to be successful?
They need a new definition for success. Getting students to pass standardized tests will not make them successful. They need the courage to fight the systems they are hired into and to stand up for students and themselves. They need to collaborate with their students to encourage them to become life long learners and prepare for work in the new economy.
