Will the state’s latest school-district consolidation effort gain traction? Should it?
Districts should be collaborating. Consolidation claims lower capital costs, but opponents fear that they will lose local control. Unification seems to want everyone teaching the same thing. All of it is complete and utter bullshit. We are avoiding the real problem. It is not rising costs, it’s that the future of work is changing and our educational systems are at a complete loss for how to prepare students for the future. This is a time to innovative and challenge everything we know about education. Not quibble over who controls what and embark on expensive administration mulling around.

I agree! The schools need some serious renovation to their setups.
