What do you make of an ASU poll that found most Arizonans favor strong border security and a path to citizenship for immigrants who are already here?
When you talk about policy instead of politics it makes perfect sense. Arizonans don’t want drugs and thugs free flowing across the border. Hence, they favor border security. Do not confuse this with immigration, which all about giving people the opportunity to make a future for themselves as productive citizens in this country. This is a large part of the “American Dream” so it should be no surprise that citizens here support giving people the ability to obtain it. The political parties of this country prefer to mingle this into a single issue so they can divide people instead of find common ground. It’s time we focused on good policy instead.
